My Story

In Loving Memory of Jean Lowes

11th July 1954 – 8th July 2025

Jean was just 70 years old when she left us after a very short but cruel battle with cancer. She was surrounded by her loving family, who meant the world to her.

Jean was a strong, independent woman with a heart full of kindness. Her daughter Gemma and her long-awaited grandson Logan were her absolute pride and joy. Becoming a Nanny to Logan meant everything to Jean, and she treasured every moment spent with him.

Family was always at the centre of Jean’s life. She loved nothing more than being surrounded by loved ones—whether that was enjoying family events and holidays or simply spending time together.

Jean was known for her talent in knitting and crocheting, creating baby blankets and cardigans with love and care. She also enjoyed reading, especially books by Catherine Cookson and Rita Bradshaw, Jean loved her nights at the bingo with friends, and shopping trips with her daughter Gemma, sister Phyllis, or friends.

Although Jean’s time with us was heartbreakingly cut short, her love, warmth, and strength will forever stay with those who knew her.

In her memory, we are supporting the Red Sky Foundation, a charity close to our hearts. If you would like to make a donation in Jean’s name, it would mean so much to us and help carry on her kindness and care.
